At least 8 people killed in a shooting at three spas, massage parlour centers in Atlanta, Georgia. Six of them are Asian women.
Police say the suspected attacker has been taken into custody. This information is given by Reuters.
Captain Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said 4 people were killed and one was injured in a shooting at a spy parlour called ‘Young’s Asian Massage‘ in North Atlanta, Georgia.
Atlanta Police Chief Rodney Bryant told reporters that the beauty spy was raided shortly before 6 p.m. The bodies of three women were recovered from there.
Bryant said police were called from another spa on the same street when police were investigating the incident. The body of another person who was shot dead was found there.
The suspected assailant, Robert Aaron Long, was arrested in Crisp County around 8:30 p.m.
Baker said investigators into the two spay attacks were “very confident” that a third man had fired at another spa.
Police could not say anything about the source of these attacks. Police said it was not immediately clear whether the attacks were aimed at Asian women. A third spy attack killed a white woman and a white man.
A spokesman for the FBI’s Atlanta office said they were assisting police in investigating the attack.
