After suspending Twitter and Facebook accounts, now YouTube also temporarily suspends President Donald Trump’s channel.
According to YouTube authorities says that Trump violated YouTube’s policies by inciting the January 6 attack on Capitol Hill for this reason they suspend the channel.
Reuters reports that since the January 6 attack on Capitol Hill, various online platforms, including social media, have begun cracking down on those involved.
Most of the online platforms have a policy of creating distance with those involved in the violence. At the same time, they began to take action against those who were directly involved in or incited to violence.
Following this, YouTube suspended Donald Trump’s channel. YouTube authorities said in a statement that nothing would be uploaded or broadcast live on the channel for the next 7 days. At the same time, the opportunity to comment on various videos on the channel has been blocked.
According to Reuters, YouTube made the decision in the wake of Donald Trump’s remarks at a news conference. The statement from the press conference was broadcast on Donald Trump’s YouTube channel on Tuesday morning. This was followed by demands from various human rights organizations to remove the channel.
The organizations also threatened to boycott YouTube if it was not done. Shortly afterward, YouTube authorities announced the suspension of his channel.
On January 6, at the instigation of President Donald Trump, his fierce supporters attacked Capitol Hill. Authorities on Facebook and Twitter temporarily shut down Trump’s account after the attack.
Initially, Twitter authorities announced that President Trump’s account would be closed for 12 hours. At the same time, they warned against closing it permanently.
Later on January 7, Twitter announced that they permanently closure Trump’s account. Trump’s remarks prompted fears of renewed violence. Facebook also took similar steps.
On January 8, Facebook authorities announced that President Donald Trump would not be able to use their platform until January 20. Even then, he may be banned from the platform, the company said.
Banned from this popular social media platform, Trump himself announced the creation of such a platform. But something more was waiting for him.
Amazon and Google recently removed another social media parlor from their app platform, which is quite popular among Trump supporters. YouTube has now been added to the list.
