Unable to put any shots on target in the first half, Manchester City got back on track in the second half. Man City rivals Manchester United lose 2-0 in the EFL Cup semi-final.

Four minutes later, Manchester City was frustrated when Kevin de Bruyne’s shot from outside the box was blocked.

The Man city could not keep any shot on target in the first half and went ahead in the fifth minute of the second half. Phil Foden’s free-kick from the left edge of the goal sent the Stones into the net. The English defender has scored goals in club football since 2017.

After the goal, the match was frozen in attack-counter-attack. United could not take advantage of the opportunity. Man City widened the gap with the chance of their failure.

Fernandinho gets the ball when the hosts fail to clear the corner properly. The Brazilian midfielder doubled the lead with a close volley from outside the box. The Man City reached the final for the fourth time in a row.

In the last edition, Manchester City reached the final by defeating Ole Gunnar Scholshar’s team 3-2.
