North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un says United States (US) is the ‘biggest enemy’ for his country. North Korea has been said in the news of the state media on Saturday.
He threw a kind of diplomatic challenge to the newly elected President of the United States, Joe Biden by these remarks.
Kim’s relationship with President Trump was strained, the AFP news agency reported. In the beginning, there were reciprocal threats, but later the two leaders took part in the conference and expressed optimism.
North Korea also announced nuclear disarmament. But that announcement no longer saw the face of success.
“Our foreign policy must be precise and we must move in a new direction, through which the United States can be brought under control,” Kim was quoted as saying at a five-year conference of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party. The United States is the biggest enemy of our development.
The five-year conference is being held in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. Un spoke at the conference for about 9 hours in a few days. He said that “no matter who is the president of the United States”, there will be no change in their policy towards North Korea.
He also promised to develop relations with “anti-imperialist and independent forces” around the world.
The issue of nuclear weapons has also been raised in Kim Jong-un’s speech. He said North Korea would not “abuse” nuclear weapons.
However, he spoke in support of the US Alliance but said that maintaining some independence was important. He also talked about building hypersonic weapons, solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), intelligence satellites, and drones.
He said his country was preparing to test and develop new weapons. These include rockets capable of carrying multiple weapons, as well as supersonic ballistic rockets capable of hitting aircraft.
He also said that the research work to build a nuclear submarine is almost complete.
