Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) receives the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. He was vaccinated on Friday. The country’s official media reported the news.
Saudi Arabia’s health minister, Tawfiq al-Rabiah is grateful to the Crown Prince for regularly monitoring the supply of the Covid-19 vaccine to Saudi nationals. He also commented that Yuvraj was interested in vaccines.
NDTV quoted Al Arabiya as saying that Saudi Arabia’s health minister had said that prevention was better than cure, a policy set out in Vision 2030.
Health protection is of utmost importance in this policy. It called for a speedy, safe and internationally approved vaccine for Saudi nationals and people living in the country.
According to The Hill, Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine doses arrived in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. Only then such a policy is determined.
So far, the Saudi health ministry says 3,61,903 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country. 6,168 people have died of Covid-19 disease. 352,815 people have recovered.
Yuvraj Mohammed bin Salman is one of the few world leaders to have been vaccinated against Covid-19. Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the vaccine live on television.
Biden tweeted after the vaccination. He said, ‘Today I have vaccinated Covid-19. Thanks to the tireless work of scientists and researchers. We are indebted to them.
