Joe Biden says ‘no time to waste’ referring to the climate change crisis as the climate team unveiled. He also said would apply to rejoin the Paris Agreement.
Joe Biden introduced his administration’s climate change and environmental advisers on Saturday, local time. Biden is based in Wilmington, Delaware.
Biden is busy selecting officials in the administration. He is scheduled to be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on January 20.
Speaking to reporters, Biden described the country’s forest cover, seasonal storms, droughts and floods. Biden called on the United States to work together to combat the coronavirus epidemic.
This time he spoke of working on climate issues with urgent priority.
Biden said he would apply to rejoin the Paris Agreement. Donald Trump has increased projects that are detrimental to the environment and climate balance, including increasing energy production in the country.
Trump announced his decision to unilaterally withdraw from the Paris Agreement, which was signed by the international community to address climate change.
