Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine is being manufactured in Belgium. From there, the journey of vaccine consignment started last Friday. Vaccine shipments arrive in Canada via Germany and the United States.
Initially, 30,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine will be provided in 14 locations across Canada. People who are most at risk at the beginning will be vaccinated.
Last Wednesday, Pfizer and Bioentech’s Covid-19 vaccine was approved by the regulatory body of Health Canada. They said the vaccine was approved for use because it was found to be safe, effective and of good quality.
The Canadian government has already ordered 20 million doses of the vaccine. If necessary, they will buy more vaccines.
The total population of Canada is about 37 million.
So far, Coronavirus has identified 4,60,843 people in Canada. Covid-19 has died 13,431 people in the country.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine application may begin in the United States today. The UK is the first country to use the vaccine. Several other countries have approved the vaccine.
