US Electoral College officially confirms Joe Biden presidential victory and Donald Trump’s failure.
“The will of the people has been won,” Biden said after winning the US presidential election in the Electoral College.
Although, Donald Trump is not expected to accept this result.
Joe Biden secured a 306-vote victory over Republican candidate Donald Trump’s 232 electoral college votes in the November election.
Under the US Presidential electoral system, voters actually elect ‘electors’ by ballot, who officially vote for the candidate after the election.
As I said throughout the campaign: I will be a president for all Americans.
I will work just as hard for those of you who didn’t vote for me as I will for those who did.

Electors don’t usually talk much, but this time around, Trump has been constantly questioning the outcome of the election and trying to change the outcome in various ways including legal action by filing lawsuits. So, everyone was watching the vote in each state.
Biden’s 270 votes were confirmed Monday by 55 California electorate.
Voting was held under tight security in several states, including Michigan and Georgia. Legislative offices were closed for fear of violence in Michigan.
The results of the vote will be sent to Washington DC and the official count will take place on January 8 at a joint session of Congress.
The session will be chaired by Vice President Mike Pence. This will pave the way for Biden’s swearing-in on January 20.
Last month, President Trump said he would step down in January if Biden won the Electoral College vote.
Today, the members of the Electoral College cast their votes for president and vice president.
And once again, the rule of law, our Constitution, and the will of the people have prevailed.
