The movie was re-submitted for censorship after cutting 56 scenes with ‘violence’. But the results have not changed.
Indian journalist Utkarsh Anand shared this on Twitter. It said, “Even after cutting ’56 scenes, this movie can have a negative effect on the child’s mind.”

The way the antihero (Joker) in the movie glorifies violence is a threat to the mental health of people under the age of 18. This movie could push them to bleed. So the decision has remained unchanged. The film cannot be shown on television.
However, many did not like this decision. One joker fans wrote, ‘Why? Isn’t violence shown in Bollywood action movies and South Indian movies? They are running on TV all day.
The Joker is ahead not only commercially, but also internationally. Directed by Todd Phillips, The Joker has won Golden Globe and BAFTA awards.

Besides, it has been nominated in 11 categories including the best movie and best director at the 92nd Oscar. The Oscar for Best Actor went to Joker Phoenix. The movie also won an Oscar for Best Original Score.
