The United Nations (UN) says millions of children suffering death risk for malnutrition in war-torn Yemen.
A United Nations report released on Tuesday states that the country’s population has been in a severe food crisis for years. As a result, the residents especially children are suffering from extreme malnutrition.
The situation has been so bad this year that it has surpassed all previous records.
The report blames the coronavirus epidemic for the global economic downturn, flooding and renewed conflict.
The last six years of civil war have pushed Yemen to the brink of famine. Although the famine has not yet been officially declared the current situation there is very fragile.
