Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has resigned under pressure. The rest of the directors also resigns along with Bartomeu after a board meeting on Tuesday evening local time.
The 56-year-old FC Barcelona president Bartomeu made the decision to resigns after being almost certain to lose his seat in a no-confidence vote. His whole board is moving away with Bartomeu.
The first trophy-free season in 12 years, the announcement of Lionel Messi’s departure from the club, and the skyrocketing controversy over it the change of coach various internal problems.
All together, Barcelona is going through a period of extreme turmoil. Bartomeu was responsible for everything.
A management board will temporarily oversee the day-to-day work of the club before hiring a new executive board. Elections will be held in the next 90 days to appoint a new president.

Following Bartomeu resigns, the Barcelona president board will now hold new elections under an interim board.
Earlier, Barsa’s outgoing board requested that the ongoing no-confidence vote against Bartomeu be suspended until November. But the Catalan administration did not respond to that request.
