Jamaican Olympic sprint legend Usain Bolt has becomes the father of daughter for the First time. Jamaica’s local media have claimed that his girlfriend Kasi Bennett gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the news of Bolt’s father is a source of joy across Jamaica. Prime Minister Andrew Holness greets Bolt and his wife and a newborn on social media. In a tweet, the Jamaican prime minister congratulated Bolt, the world record holder in the 100m and 200m sprint, “Congratulations to our sprint legends Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett on the arrival of their baby girl.”
Bolt, a five-time world record holder in a sprint, announced the news on social media in March. The Bolt couple said their unborn child in a video message at the time. His relationship with Cassie Bennett lasted about six years. The 33-year-old former Jamaican sprinter has long kept the affair a secret. However, Bolt does not want the child to be a name in athletics like him.
Why? He explained it from his own experience at a Super Bowl event in Miami, USA. “It will be very difficult for my kids,” said Bolt, who has won doubles in the 100 and 200 meters sprints at three consecutive Olympics.
