Section 144 has been issued in ten places in Delhi’s North-East district. A large number of police have been deployed in important areas like Jafarabad, Mouzpur-Babarpur, Gokulpuri, Johor Enclave, and Shiv Vihar. Officials of the Delhi Police Special Cell and Economic Offense Wing are keeping a close eye on the situation in the national capital, Delhi. As a precautionary measure, some trains at the Welcome Metro station have been stopped, some reliable sources in the Indian government said.
Worried about such a situation is Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He demanded that the army be deployed to Delhi to control the situation. Kejriwal tweeted this on Wednesday.
